This is our story. This is OFF THE WALL! We currently have an exciting role available for a Buyer to join our VF team for Vans. This role will be responsible for planning, assortment, selection, purchasing , pricing and coordination of promotions for our Vans portfolio.Your key responsibilities include but not limited to: Identify sales trends highlighting best and worst performersIdentify areas of opportunity within assortment and sales trendsDevelop a range selection and product grading in line with business needs based on planning/analysisEnsure gender/category breakdowns are in line with overall business objectives and assortment plansReview sales and sell thru and develop Markdown plan and recommendations.Monitor aged stock and perform consolidations accordinglyMonitor best sellers and perform consolidations accordinglyAllocate and purchase core items in line with company objectives and inventory targetsForecast core requirements, review and adjust core orders to fill business requirementsEnsure core lines are always in stock with full size curves.Review core lines, store stock levels and replenishment monitored weekly.Liaise with Marketing Manager to develop promotional plan supporting key purchased storiesIdentify styles to support window campaigns and all social media and online strategiesTrack sales performance of such promotional plan and review/report success or suggestions for futureOrganise and undertake all preparation for promotional planned and pop-up sales. Suggest strategies of what product needs to be pushed, categories that need attention and ways to impact company sales targets inline with GP objectivesLiaise with National, State, Area and store managers to ensure you are in touch with issues on the ground regarding assigned brands.First point of contact for all senior management and store team regarding any queries, issues or feedback regarding assigned brandsLiaise with Brand managers reporting successes and giving feedback on the retail performance of assigned brands.Present to senior management and store staff regarding assigned brand strategy, trends, product knowledge and what is coming for assigned brands What we are looking for: Demonstrated previous experience in a retail buying role ideally with retail apparel / footwearA passion for driving sales and achieving profit marginsThe ability to manage and maintain multiple supplier relationshipsProficient in Excel – analysing data and managing reportsExcellent attention to detail and ability to communicate with various stakeholders at all levelsAbility to create, plan, monitor and execute multiple reportsHigh sense of urgency with the ability to work autonomously and part of a teamExcellent time management and organisation skills to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to problem solve and take initiativeAffiliation with Accent Group Core values and "Make It Happen" attitude
