Qualifications, Electrical or mechanically qualified from an engineering background.
They are currently recruiting for an office based Service Manager, you will be based from Canary wharf, responsible for 3 large buildings and with be required to be office based Monday to Friday. You will be from a Engineering back ground and have experienced being an engineer.
Managing the HVAC based operational teams.
short term, medium term and long term objectives for the role.
Objectives - Short Term (12 months)
Build strong relationships with all engineer personnel
Build strong relationships with all customer personnel
Deliver services to contract
Grow the teams sales and productivity
Objectives - Medium Term (24 months)
Achieve high percentage of engineer retention
Achieve excellent customer rating
Implement innovation to service delivery
Working closely with the mobile Operations manager you will streamline the help desk teams, engineers and create a system that works well whilst motivating as well as guiding the team to be the best they can.
Promote a positive health & safety culture
Proactive and innovative approach to service delivery
Manage, motivate and lead the team from the front to the Birdsall culture
Motivate engineers and external contractors to ensure routine services, maintenance and
repairs are carried out in-line with SLA's
Train and mentor 'improvers' and 'apprentices'
Ensure the team is service and quality focused
Be able you use and understand a CAFM system
Deliver planned preventative maintenance to schedule
Assist with technical issues on site, providing technical support
Ensure all service reports are completed correctly and within the contract timeline
Produce quality reports and quotations
Provide feedback, both to the team and senior management
Build excellent working relationships with customers
Communicate effectively with customers, providing a single point of contact
Communicate with customers preferably by phone and regularly in person
Attend weekly and monthly customer review and planning meetings
Assist interviewing and selecting new engineers
Site asset management and verification for new and existing sites
Communicate and implement Company operational handbook and policies
Undertake engineer appraisals and development with HR
Conduct engineer and site audits with Compliance Manager
Mentor staff and undertake some Toolbox Talks Form part of an on-call management rota
Ensure sales targets are met
Ensure productivity & profit enhancement through the efficiency of the operation
Attend monthly operations review with the Operations Director
