Sr. Quality Assurance Manager, Canadian Operations

CIMS Limited Partnership is seeking an enthusiastic, people leader who is passionate about delivering the best quality program to our customers in the heavy industrial sector for the role of Senior Quality Assurance Manager, Canadian Operations.

In the role of Sr Quality Assurance Manager at CIMS LP, you will be a key contributor towards CIMS success by overseeing all aspects of the Quality Management Systems, process, documentation and by living the CIMS Core Values of Our People, Our Promise, Our Passion. Your focus will be on the delivery of a superior quality program and results to internal and external customers and key stakeholders throughout CIMS Operations.

You will report to the Director of QA/QC and be accountable for:

  • Maintain CIMS ASME, Provincial and National Board Regulatory Certification
  • Assist in development, scheduling, and maintenance of CIMS Internal and External Auditing program.
  • Provide Quality Management System leadership, training, and direction to Regional QA leads and staff, Site Managers, and Job Superintendents.
  • Work collaboratively to develop and implement CIMS QMS, OEMS, and Quality programs that is aligned with and supports the strategic goals, initiatives, culture of the company, and improves outcomes across the organization.
  • Ensure that CIMS’ Core Values and Guiding Principles are integrated into all business practices and leadership models behaviours that cultivate safety, quality, customer value, performance & integrity.
  • Effectively and efficiently allocate Quality resources to projects as needed in a cost-effective manner.

You are the ideal candidate for this role if you:

  • Welding Engineering or related Engineering Degree, a minimum of CWB level 2 or higher with extensive knowledge of CSA, ASME, National Board codes, any Nuclear Standard Experience would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in heavy industry, energy and chemical, construction, fabrication or operations, and 7+ years in QA/QC supervision.
  • Lead Auditors Certification (ISO, NQA-01).
  • Knowledge of quality systems as it relates to weld procedure specifications, welder qualification and weld materials to ensure that welding conforms to the applicable requirements of ASME Section IX as invoked by ASME Code Sections, CSA B51, W47, W59 and CWB requirements.
  • Working knowledge Welding Procedure Development.

  • Are a driven & enthusiastic person who leads by example and takes a hands-on approach.
  • Are flexible to travel to our regional offices and client locations.

* The preferred candidate would be located in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, as our head office is located in Port Coquitlam, BC. We will also accept candidates who are located in the Edmonton, Alberta area who will work at our regional office located in Sherwood Park, AB.

Salary: $160,000.00-$175,000.00 per year

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

  • QA/QC Superivision: 7 years (preferred)

  • CWB Level 2 or higher (required)
  • Lead Auditors Certification (ISO, NQA-01) (required)
