Service Charge Accountant

Our client is a well established and respected company working within the Property Sector, based in central Gravesend. They currently have a need for a Service Charge Accountant. Previous experience in the preparation of statutory and service charge accounts is essential. Knowledge of ARMA and RICS regulations. SKILLS REQUIRED: * Good knowledge of ARMA and RICS regulations * Experience of client accounting software (TRAMPS) is desirable * Experience of client accounting software (APB) would be an advantage * High level of concentration, accuracy and attention to detail * Self-motivated with a methodical and organised approach * Able to effectively prioritise and multi-task * Excellent people and communication skills at all levels * Dependable and flexible as well as possessing the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality * Proactive and able to take responsibility for own work and assist others * Work well under pressure * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages * Good interpersonal and customer service skills OVERVIEW OF ROLE: * To prepare statutory and service charge accounts for residential & commercial properties * To upload service charge budgets based on agreed apportionments and totals * To liaise with external auditors as part of the audit process from start to finish * To raise service charge invoices to tenants based on uploaded budgets Monday to Friday 9 - 5.30pm A full job description is available
