Position: SEN Teaching Assistant  Pay: £80 – £100 per day  Location: Enfield Start Form: Jan 2023   Are you patient and caring?  Are you confident working with children with Special Educational Needs to develop their abilities?  Do you have the experience of supporting children in a classroom setting?    GSL Education is looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant for a secondary client school based in Enfield. This is the perfect job for anyone looking to gain experience before applying for teacher training.    About SEN TA role: 8:30am-4pm (30 minute unpaid break) 5 days a week Experience with SEN students One-to-one support during lessons General TA duties included Working with the SEND team to support students Working with students with a range of needs Trial week initially – post will be until the end of this academic year with possibility of renewal for next academic year if suitable. To establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils to support them in feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at school. Support the Class Teacher in all areas of the day-to-day running of the class To provide learning support for pupils in the class or in 1:1 situations Provide individualised behaviour interventions within your role as well as ensure the child’s safety at all times.  The successful candidate will:  Possess a Teaching Assistant qualification. Be working alongside teachers and supporting students. Be working with students with autism, Asperger and challenging behaviour. Have previous experience with SEND in a school environment. Be a confident, outgoing and personable individual with a passion for helping people. Have a nurturing and compassionate approach to supporting teaching and learning.  Know how to support the inclusion and progress of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.   To work with GSL Education as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you should:  Have the right to work in the UK.  Have at least 6 months of experience in an educational setting or the health care sector.  Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.   Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education  Here at GSL Education, we offer competitive pay rates, bespoke service and dedicated Consultants who will support you in securing your new role.
