The role
We are recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel to join our Global Legal Team and be responsible for providing legal and compliance support to our UK and Ireland operations.

Mission:
You will be responsible for delivery of legal, regulatory and compliance services related with a specific focus on the distribution of products, services and software through our partners and distribution channels. You will operate as a key business partner to provide strategic support and advice, working on a wide range of commercial and compliance matters.
Location: This role supports a flexible hybrid model with some working from home options available. You should expect regular travel within the UKI zone and occasional travel to other locations in Europe as business need is determined. Travel may include some overnight stays
What will you do?
Advise on the legal & regulatory requirements relating to Schneider Electric’s distribution and channel partner portfolio of documents primarily across UK and Ireland, and adhoc support across EMEA
Providing distribution and channel antitrust and competition regulatory advice
Preparing, reviewing and supporting negotiations of distribution and channel contracts and terms and conditions
Preparing templates
Proactively identify, define, and mitigate risks by contributing to and implementing policies and procedures
Helping to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Group policies
Providing training and facilitating our compliance programs
Other local legal support as reasonably required by Legal Management
What will help you to be successful?
A fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice in the UK or Ireland with a Master/Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent and at least 5 years' relevant PQE in commercial law
Fluent in English (written and verbal) with great technological skills
Worked in an international company and has a proven track record operating in an inhouse environment
Work proactively and closely with the business stakeholders, to identify and analyse critical commercail and legal issues
Apply legal expertise to deliver solutions
Confident with fantastic interpersonal skills, commercially minded, highly organized and able to work effectively in teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work independently and manage large volumes of work
