S:US is seeking a Registered Nurse for our adult families shelter in Manhattan.

This position is located at East 31 Street New York, NY 10016

Salary: 

Minimum Salary:$80,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary:   $82,000.00/Yr.

 

The Registered Nurse will meet with staff to coordinate shelter residents to receive ongoing treatment in the community, supervise LPN, Patient Navigator, and Health Educator, assist Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner as needed. He/she will Administer medications and document administration as required. Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature and weight. Assist with diabetes medication and treatment and take medical histories and enter information in computer systems.  The RN will coordinate with Case Manager, Senior Case Manager and Director of Social Services to ensure proper care, nutrition and treatment plans are followed.

Qualifications:
Completion of accredited program and registered in New York as an RN

Preference is given to those who have experience working on a multi- disciplinary team and/or previous experience with homeless population

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to assist individuals of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, and sexual preferences

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
