We are currently recruiting for a Design Center Coordinator This is a full time and permanent position. Position Overview: The Design Center Coordinator ensures the Design Department runs effectively and efficiently by managing product inventory, pricing, studio maintenance, Spec Home completion and support to the design team. Core Competencies Time Management Creative and Innovative Thinking Problem Solving Accountability and Dependability Decision Making and Judgement Ethics and Integrity Planning and Organizing Conflict Resolution Communication Team Work Job Duties Selecting interior palettes for spec homes; Creation, documentation and entry of selections into system; Supplier visits to make selections for discontinued or new products to display in the design center as required; Managing correspondence between multiple departments and clients for sign off in a timely manner as required; Attend preview nights as required (weekly or bi-weekly) to assist new and prospective clients in the design center; Ensure supplies are stocked in the design center as required; Manage all applicable pricing information for products offered in the design center; Miscellaneous communication with trades and suppliers as required; Maintain and distribute design center documentation including templates, processes and the Design Center Manual; Manage all samples and displays within the design center, ensuring they are up-to-date and labelled correctly; Conduct design center training for sales staff; Assemble and distribute spec home colour sample packages for sales centers; Support the Accents Design team with file processing and paper/electronic filing. Requirements Interior Design Degree or Interior Design Diploma preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience; Experience in design center for a residential builder is an asset; Experience in sales related field is an asset; Proven track record with meeting deadlines; Construction terminology knowledge is an asset; Work well in a fast paced team environment; Action oriented with the ability to meet critical timelines; Superior organizational skills; Ability to work with a flexible schedule. Working Conditions Ability to attend and conduct presentations. Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals. Overtime as required. Lifting or moving up to 20lbs may be required.
