Physician (ALLERGY & IMMUNOLOGY) Fort Carson, Colorado

Responsibilities:
MAJOR DUTIES
1. Serves as a specialist in the field of Allergy, Asthma, Immunization assigned to Primary Careline, USA MEDDAC, Fort Carson, Colorado. Is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of the more complex allergy and asthma problems referred to the clinic. Work requires incumbent to be board certified in Allergy and Immunization. Provides advice and consultation to other clinic providers on the diagnoses and treatment of patients, especially in Immunizations, Allergy, Asthma, and Immunization. Within the clinic, as appropriate, refers patients for further evaluation.
2. Cares for long term chronic and difficult cases such as chronic congenital immunizations deficiency, asthma and allergies. Orders and interprets exercise challenges, PFTs, Skin Tests, challenge with Methacoline consuls with specialists when assistance is required in determining the correct diagnosis of treatment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
US Citizenship required
Board Certified/Eligible
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from a school in the United States or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicants graduation. [A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school that provided education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States may be demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) (or a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country).
Candidates must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
