DevOps Engineer

In this role you will get to:

  • As the DevOps and Software Engineer, you’ll be building the foundations of DevOps for the Data Engineering ,ML/AI and Data Scientist team

  • You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and operations of a fast-paced, highly-available software and data system.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and system administration, focusing on automation and scalability.

  • This role needs to collaborate with our Data Engineering , ML /AI Team , Data Scientist , Analysts , Enterprise Architects and Infra team

  • Take a leading role in building all DevOps areas, especially the GCP cloud environment, tools, services, and up-time

  • Architect, build, improve, maintain, and document internal release systems and pipelines

  • Automate the deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes and tools

  • Plan and push forward the growth and scale of data capacity for various products

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences

  • Continuously improve automated build, test, and deployment workflows

  • Drive the CI/CD strategy for our product pipelines with a focus on reliability and scale

Who you are:

  • Experience 6 to 10 years exp (4+ years exp into devops)

  • Experience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP, Azure ,AWS

  • Expertise in unix environment

  • Expertise in creating ci-cd pipelines using with Github and Github actions or Gitlab

  • Experience in software engineering, data engineering and development

  • Expertise with GitOps, Terraform, Kubernetes

  • Expose to Analytics, ability to author and understand SQL queries and constructs

  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Google Cloud Composer

  • Proficiency in one or more of these scripting languages - Shell, Python scripting.

  • Familiar with large-scale production systems and technologies, for example, load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, and configuration management.

  • Strong proven ability to improve processes and automate workflows.

  • Strong coding experience with Python or Java or Scala or similar programming languages an MUST

Flexible work at Priceline

Priceline is following a hybrid working model, which includes two days onsite as determined by you and your manager (ideally selecting among Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). On the remaining days, you can choose to be remote or in the office.
