As the Team Leader of the battery storage system team, your main mandate will be to lead a small team of mechanical engineers and technicians while overseeing the design, development and integration of the mechanical and structural components in electrical recreational vehicles, from early design phases to production.

  • Oversee the mechanical components of the battery development, testing and production roll-out;
  • Work with Design, Prototyping, Manufacturing, Testing, & Supply Chain teams along with other supporting functions in order to get a cost effective, performance oriented & reliable product;
  • Close cooperation with Hardware and System engineering teams for the battery pack development requirements tracking and management 
  • Prioritize the engineering team project work to meet the delivery & performance targets of the products by using BRP product development tools;
  • Identify creative ways to overcome obstacles and meet the schedule despite setbacks;
  • Advise on best practices for documenting changes to new and existing products.
  • Work on ad hoc related tasks or projects provided by management
  • Assess, design and integrate battery mechanical systems to vehicles and related systems to balance out performance, reliability, cost and weight requirements.
  • Support hiring effort and overseeing the integration of new employees


  • You have the ability to work in a project start-up environment with objectives that are in the process of being defined;
  • You are skilled at working in a multidisciplinary environment;
  • You detain a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 
  • You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in product design;
  • You demonstrate strong leadership skills to lead and align a dedicated team, while developing the individual potential of its members; 
  • You have the ability to allow creativity when needed while keeping the target aligned with mass production vehicles;
  • You are skilled at working in a multidisciplinary environment and understand the product development cycle & stage gates;
  • You demonstrate a deep sense organization, interpersonal skills, autonomy;
  • You are capable of reaching exceptional results with a minimum of supervision

  • You master French and English (written and spoken);
