Compensation:
The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.
Responsibilities:
Provides general nursing care to pediatric patients (newborn to 18 years old) in the hospital. Specific task elements are generally outlined below and may be found in department task lists and competency check off lists. May perform specialized tasks as outlined in the position competency check off and task elements.
Qualifications:
Required:
Current CA Registered Nurse License
Recent hospital experience within 3 years in a Pediatric setting or equivalent
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within twelve (12) weeks of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within twelve (12) weeks of hire
Minimum One (1) year of Pediatric experience in an acute care setting
Preferred:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Bilingual in Spanish
Pediatric Nurse Certified
