OVERALL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE ROLE:

This is a unique, fast-paced role and an excellent opportunity to learn about PR, Communications, a touch of Events and have a hand in fantastic projects and initiatives, such as Theo Paphitis’ #SBS Small Business Sunday.

This role covers a wide range of topics from small business to current affairs and retail to events, covering all aspects of communication, working closely with the Communications Director to manage all communications, internal and external, and maintain and develop the reputation of Theo Paphitis and Theo Paphitis Retail Group (TPRG), comprising Ryman, Ryman Design, Robert Dyas, Boux Avenue and London Graphic Centre.  

A knowledge of current affairs is ideal in this role, to support Chairman Theo Paphitis’s focus on this area, as well as the ability to do effective research. As part of a small team, you will have regular contact with the TV dragon, and our Chairman, Theo Paphitis.

To help support and manage #SBS Small Business Sunday (#SBS), including the #SBS annual event and opportunities throughout the year.

To support the Group’s PR and Events functions as required.

To have an avid interest in politics and current affairs.

To understand social media on all platforms.

To bring energy, ideas and a creative approach to building content for communications and social media.
